Narak Chaturdashi 2021: पांच दिन चलने वाले दिवाली महापर्व के दूसरे दिन नरक चतुर्दशी (Narak Chaturdashi) यानी रुप चौदस (Roop Chaturdashi) का त्यौहार मनाया जाता है. मान्यता है कि कार्तिक कृष्ण चतुर्दशी (नरक चतुर्दशी) के दिन अभ्यंग स्नान (Abhyanga Snan) करने से यम का भय समाप्त हो जाता है. अभ्यंग स्नान को सही मुहूर्त में करने पर इसका विशेष पुण्य फल प्राप्त होता है. नरक चतुर्दशी को छोटी दिवाली के नाम से भी जाना जाता है. पौराणिक कथा के अनूसार नरक चतुर्दशी के दिन ही भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने अत्याचारी असुर नरकासुर का वध किया था. उन्होंने नरकासुर के बंदीगृह में कैद सोलह हजार एक सौ कन्याओं को मुक्त भी कराया था.
